Reiana “Rei”Lorin is an artist, storyteller and scholar with a passion for community, wellness, and justice. Shaped by interdisciplinary inquiry across global contexts my endeavors strive to amplify and/or subvert representations of marginalized identities, experiences and cultures.
Formally trained in the craft of filmmaking, my versatile professional background versatile professional background includes media production, teaching, facilitation, communications strategy, and event management. I have lead projects supported by research fellowships and grant funding while cultivating experience in over twenty countries across Europe, Asia and North America. I currently employ my skills as a photographer while maintaining an entrepreneurial fine arts practice as Founder of Flip the Script Studio.
I am proud alum of Howard University (BA) and hold an MFA in Film from New York University, where I completed coursework at Tisch School of the Arts Asia in Singapore, SG. I am currently based between Mexico and my hometown of Raleigh, NC, as I pursue a Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies at North Carolina State University.
